    3. Nothing much to report I'm afraid but nevertheless, plenty to say! I made a new contact today. I heard from Marlene Everett Hawkins who is another of the New York clan - Ana Knibbs-Rizzo's cousin. Marlene's mum was Sylvia Knibbs from New York. Marlene would like me to add her family to my tree (which of course I'm more than happy to do) and hopefully, Marlene will be able to fill in some of the missing dates in the data that Ana has already given me. If it carries on this way, I'll have more entries for New York than I have for Oxfordshire! I'm sure that Ana or Marlene won't mind me passing this on, but Marlene's sister Kathy is married to Robert Gleeson. If you go to http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyKey=66365&category=C it's an article in the Timesunion Newspaper about Robert Gleeson and his dog Ruger's involvement in the rescue of fire-fighters at Ground Zero of the World Trade Centre. It includes an interview with Robert and a photo of him with Ruger. Also, for anyone who maybe interested, I've posted a few more South African and New York Knibbs on my web page, courtesy of Natascha and Ana. These can be found at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~knibbs/. Hover over the Photo Galleries icon on the index page and then click onto New York KNIBBS or South African KNIBBS to view them. The New York ones go back to James Knibbs, the inventor of the Knibbs Runaround which was a device that controlled the pumping of water on fire engines. He was born at Somerton, Oxfordshire but emigrated to New York in about 1840 with his family when he was about 13 years old. Other new ones include Ana's grandparents Harold James Knibbs and his wife Pearl Nancy Palmatier, plus Harold James' sister Bertha. The South African ones go back to James Arthur Clement Knibbs who is the grandfather of Graham Hartlett, Natascha's husband. This photo shows James and members of the next two generation, some of whom Natascha is still trying to find details. If you go to my web page to look at the photos, whilst there, please have a look at the new Chronology of Events listed on the Index page. It's a new feature that I've just got hold of and I think it's quite good - it gives a chronological list of all events taken from a GEDCOM file. It's brand new and has a few minor bugs that the creator is working on. He is also working on a new version which will provide a Chronology of Events indexed by place names (again taken from a GEDCOM file). It'll give a complete index of every place entered in the GEDCOM file, with a list of every event that took place there. Best of all, it's FreeWare! Sorry, but run out of steam now so will close for the night. Don

    3. Nothing new to report except the photo I sent to Don which can be viewed on his webpage. Next effort is in getting accurate dates and locations of living Knibb's.
