Bev > Alan, can you confirm that Frederick James T. KNIBBS b. 2 QTR 1893 Edmonton > District is thus far unclaimed? > > He's yours for the taking but with a correction. You can't trust me because I'm human! I looked for a marriage for him and found one 01qtr1914 in the Cardiff District no less but given as FJC. His bride was Ethel ALLEN. Too much of a coincicdence I thought so I went back to my original notes for the 1893 birth and yes it's FJC not FJT. I'd slap myself on the wrist but for the many bruises there already. So, when did he die? Answer 01qtr 1870 Cardiff District. And of course the record at such time gives his birthdate also which was 27th February 1893, so there was seemingly a delay in registration of the birth for it to be 02qtr1893. Of course, if Frederick was a twin, his parents would have had their hands full at the time. If you go back to my listing, you'll see there was a Rosa Marguerita born in the same quarter, same District. And we know there was an Emily Margueritte born to the family 04qtr1899 in Cardiff, so perhaps not so far fetched? However, I'd really need to find a Rosa M marriage or death in Cardiff to get back into your good books but none found. As for Ethel, a couple of possibilities but most likely she died 02qtr1978 Pontypridd District. Any family birthday celebrated 11 June? That was the date in 1893 when this Ethel born. Finally you surmised that Frederick could have been a second born. Well I think he was, unless someone else can claim George Edward M KNIBBS born 01 qtr 1892 Edmonton District. But you say, we've never heard of him in family discussions. Well, sadly he died 04qtr 1893 which might be the explanation. Whatever happened to Rosa Marguerita? I'll not rest until I find her for you or someone else. bfn Alan
