Hi Alan... & Pat Walker (also sending separate copy personally to Pat in case she misses List posting) Well, while awaiting delivery of "snail mail" marriage certificate of my grandparents Albert Thomas Turner "Tom" KNIBBS to Olive LEWIS nee DAVIES, an E-mail transcript has been received; some detail here and conjecture following: Place: The Register Office, Cardiff Date: 25 May 1920 (Family had previously said 5 May 1920) Tom's Address: 54 Minny Street, Cardiff Olive's Address: 93 Llandaff Road, Cardiff Witnesses: G. F. E. A. KNIBBS (Tom's father) F. J. KNIBBS Re this witness F. J. KNIBBS, I checked on Alan's Database and all my own copied details and found some possibles with the same initials - however, I tend to think it could be Frederick James T. KNIBBS b. 2 QTR 1893 Edmonton District. Pat, if this conjecture is correct he could well be our James "Jim" KNIBBS, Railroad engineer, brother to Albert Thomas Turner "Tom" KNIBBS and your grandfather John Archibald E. "Jack" KNIBBS. Their parents George Frederick Ernest Albert KNIBBS and Emily Frances TURNER had married at Edmonton 4 Oct 1891, so the name of Frederick would fit nicely, also the place and year of birth, perhaps making him the firstborn or at a stretch the second born. Pat, are you able to run this name and detail past your Dad to see if it prompts any previously forgotten memory recollection? Alan, can you confirm that Frederick James T. KNIBBS b. 2 QTR 1893 Edmonton District is thus far unclaimed? Look forward to hearing from you both. Bfn Bev --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
