My Ann arrived left England between 1858 and Feb. 1865 when her husband served in the Civil War. If your Charles is the 1821 birthdate born in DEV for which there is no father listed on the Excel spreadsheet, -- we may have something here...I'll keep looking for that marriage certificate to see if it shows what shire John was born in.
