    3. Bob, I can't match up precisely to a Joseph Knibbs being born in 1851 (assuming that he gave the correct age on the census). However, there was a Joseph born in about Feb 1849 at Deddington - he was baptised at the age of 4 years 4 months in Jun 1853. So he would have been 31/32 at the 1881 census? This Joseph was the son of Thomas and Sarah GIBBARD. Joseph married Elizabeth Ann STILGOE in Dec 1868. I believe Elizabeth Anne died in 1871 at Silverstone, Northants shortly after they married, so it's quite possible that he remarried to a Harriet. There is no sign of any such marriage at Deddington. Any thoughts Alan - also I've just noticed the Northants link. This Joseph's wife died at Northants almost certainly childless or maybe from childbirth. Could this perhaps be the missing link between Deddington and Northants?
