John et al, Bob Knibbs has just given me some information (see my previous email headed "no subject") on one of the Deddington Knibbs and, when checking back through my data, I've found a link between this Deddington Knibbs and Northants. It may well be nothing but perhaps worth a little digging. The Deddington/Northants link was mentioned at Warwick so I wonder if this could be anything to do with it? Joseph Knibbs, born in Deddington around about Feb 1849 married to Elizabeth Ann STILGOE in Dec 1868. I'm not sure where Elizabeth was born. In Jun 1871, just two and a half years after they married, Elizabeth Ann died. She was buried at Deddington but alongside the burial entry it says "Silverstone, Northants" which indicates to me that they were living there when she died. I don't know of any children from this marriage but believe that there may well have been one or maybe two. Both Joseph and Elizabeth were listed in the marriage register as "under age" so I suspect that Elizabeth became pregnant before they were married. She was still very young (22) when she died so I wonder if she died at the birth of a second child? Could there have been Joseph and two baby Knibbs males at Silverstone, Northants in 1871 when Elizabeth died? It would be a fantastic find if someone could confirm it. Does anyone know of a marriage between Joseph KNIBBS and a Harriet Unknown in Northants in the late 1870's? Don
