I have just got back from 5 weeks in spain hence delay in response.Caroline was my grandmother, she was the illegitamate daughter of Hannah and married Edgar Davis at St Gerorges ,Hannover Square in 1882.They too had an illegitamate child born 3 moonths before the marriage who was baptised at Hethe on 21.2.1882 and died a month later. On the wedding cert Caroline gave her father as a "Farm bailiff" suggesting that his name wa Knibbs!! I failed to find any bastardy papers relating to her birth. The family moved around a lot ,Edgar being a coachman and finally settled in Ampthill .Edgar went on "walkabouts "and finally disappeared on one in the early 1920's. Hannah kept a pub in the Tottenham court road area and my late cousin described getting under a table threr during a Zeppilin raid in WW1 Alan Davis ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 07, 2001 6:02 PM Subject: [K/NIBB/S] Caroline ex Hethe > In a message dated 07/10/01 16:58:05 GMT Daylight Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > > > Caroline Knibbs aged 25 Serv Cook to Martha Jackson > > > ( Any relation to Alan ???? ) > > > b, Bicester Kathe > > > > > > > Nope to me for Martha but I do believe Alan DAVIS can lay claim to Caroline. > > bfn > > Alan > > > ============================== > Create a FREE family website at MyFamily.com! > http://www.myfamily.com/banner.asp?ID=RWLIST2 > >
