    1. [K/NIBB/S] Thanks Alan & Michele

    3. Well - I'm back home already after a wonderful day at Warwick after the gathering of the Clan. I really enjoyed the day so thanks Alan and Michele for all of the hard work that must have gone into arranging it. Well done - it was a great day. Sioux Fennessy mistook me for her dead uncle but I didn't let that spoil the day! I'm now beginning to count the cost - my wife Shirley decided not to come with me and instead, went shopping with my two daughters. When they said shopping, I assumed Marks & Spencers. How wrong I was - it was antique shops! Apparently the dining room furniture we have is very dated and in need of replacement. I don't quite follow the logic as we bought it in the 70's so if that's dated, why are they looking at antiques? On the positive side of things, I've promised to go with her tomorrow morning to look at what she's found with the agreement that I can play on the PC in the afternoon sorting out the photographs from today. Alan has got mini versions of the photos and will be posting some of them on his web page. These should be fine for viewing on the screen but if anyone tries to save them and zoom in, they'll find that the quality is very poor. What I'm planning on doing is to load the higher quality versions up onto the web so that everyone can look at them there. They will also be downloadable at the higher quality so that they can be played with and printed at home. I might even be willing to run off prints for anyone who doesn't have a photo quality printer at home. I'll let everyone know when they're available and how to gain access. All being well, I'm hoping to do that tomorrow (Sunday). By the way - I'm keeping up the day job! On the genealogy front, I believe that Bob Knibbs and I managed to find a connection between my Oxford Knibbs who I lost after they moved to London. Bob was able to pick up the trail so I'm very interested in following that one up. Not sure if it means Bob and I are from the same line or not. We should soon find out. I believe it was Gilbert and someone else who told me that they believe I hold the key that joins the Oxfordshire Knibbs to the Northampton Knibbs. I may well have but at the moment, I'm not aware of it. I'll certainly have a dig around to see what connection I can find with Northampton. If I find one, I'll report back. Alan - Help! For Sioux, I couldn't recognise any of the non-Knibbs names in her tree so couldn't see any connection. However, I remember coming across a Violet Lilly May Knibbs, a boot-lacer on the internet on someone's web page. If I'm right, she is one of Sioux's so I'll dig around to see if I can find it again. Enough for now. One again, a great day Alan and Michele so thanks! It's a pity that the entire KNIBB mailing list couldn't be there but maybe one day. Don
