I've at long last decided that your John at Woodstock who married Catherine WRIGHT is the son of my John KNIBBS, son of Richard KNIBBS and Sarah BIGNELL from Deddington. It's unfortunate that the 1851 census for Woodstock Union didn't help me much as John senior died in 1832. So, whilst there isn't any fully conclusive evidence that they are one and the same, I'm happy that the evidence we do have is sufficient.
