Did I mention that I had tracked down the address for the Rev whose parish encompassed Althorp, the home of the SPENCER family? Well sadly he died last year but his widow has sent me a very nice letter listing her husband's family who came from Old Windsor originally. He had retired by the time of Princess Diana's burial but did participate in the services for the burial of her father, Earl SPENCER, and the marriages of her elder brother and sister.
