"Be careful what you ask for, you might get it." This is genealogy specific, but not Knapp specific. I need some guidance: while searching for info on my father (he left when I was 2) I have discovered that a) he is long dead, b) he has a surviving widow who apparently knows nothing about his first family, and c) I have 2 half sisters who presumably are equally in the dark. This has nothing to do with inheritances or other complicated agendas. I would love to hear from anyone who might have faced this quandry or anything like it. How should I make contact? His widow would be in her 80's. He is not a Knapp (tho I'm a Knapp descendant), that's why I'm querying you folks.
