Hello, Here is some info and then a question: Thomas Ebenezer Knapp (son of Ebenezer Knapp and Elizabeth Benedict) was born abt. 1729 in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He married Lois Newcomb Bearse. He died in 1804 in Dutchess County, New York. Among the children often listed for Thomas E. Knapp is THOMAS KNAPP (birth estimated at 1758). I would like to find out what the source(s) is/are for Thomas Knapp being a son of Thomas E. Knapp and Lois Bearse. Was it a will of Thomas E. Knapp? A deed? It is very important to me that I find this out as he is the only Thomas Knapp I have found in over 15 years that fits the time frame for my ancestor of that name. Knowing more about him could finally connect me to the Nicholas Knapp line. Any information on this Thomas Knapp would be greatly appreciated. Also, there is a Nathaniel Knapp who married Eunice who is also in this family. He was the son of Hezekial Knapp and would have been Thomas Knapp's second cousin. I have a Nathaniel Knapp who was married to a Eunice listed on a land deed in Fabius, Onondaga County, New York around 1816 and this puts him in the same town as my Thomas at that time. This is circumstantial evidence of a connection to this line to be sure. But it is also intriguing evidence. Any info on Nathaniel and Eunice Knapp would be appreciated as well.
