Machine app and carpenter in Clyde. Next went to SanFrancisco, CA in July 1852. Engaged in mining. Came to Green Plain Twp., Allegan Co., MI Lived in 1854. Bought farm 146 Acres. Supervisor of Green Plain Twp 8 times. Married 16 Nov 1851 to Charlotte Harvey, daughter of Bryon and Ruth (WAITE) Harvey, born 15 Oct 1830 - died 1 Sept 1856 Eliezer and Ruth had daughter: 1. Ida E. KNAPP born 9 Feb 1855 who married Henry CROSBIE & resides in Ionia Co., MI. Eliezer Knapp married 2nd 28 June 1858 to Frances LINDERMAN born 16 Dec 1833 daughter of Jacob and Desire (CONRAD) Linderman. Children of Eliezer and Frances: 1. Will Knapp born 23 Jan 1860 2. Mabel Knapp born 11 Aug 1862 3. Genevieve Knapp born 16 Mar 1865 died 20 Oct 1865
