But Ida, MI is in Monroe County and the over 200 Knapps there were either born there (on farms) or came from Baden, Germany. None came from Scotland nor New York of that I am certain. It is possible that Knapps of another line may have settled there in Monroe Co. as well. None of your line seemed to have settled there from your info, though. Ionia is not near Monroe County where a 'bump in the road' called Ida exists. Jean
