Hi, For your Benona KNAPP files. I have just received a copy of Benona's 1826 land patent for 80 acres in Macomb County, Michigan. It describes him as "Benona Knapp of Ontario County, New York" Land patent records eleven years later indicate that he moved to Oakland County, Michigan. Hope this will be useful for someone.
