Hi All Am searching for Ephraim Knapp Jr. born ca1775 as said in Upstate New York. Which is considered in Upstate New York Rensselaer County or St. Lawrence County. He moved to Brompton, Quebec Canada around 1797 was married to Betsey Houston (Huston), he may have come bring one son with him a Lyndes Knapp born 1791 or 96 in New York also. Ephraim Knapp Jr. and Ephraim Knapp Sr. came with William Barnard and Associates they received land in Brompton, Quebec and where believed to be United Empire Loyalists but we have not yet found proof of this.
