As you know, I offered to return to the library to have a re-look at the book written by Shepard Knapp about his family Memoirs with pages of genealogy. I have gotten the info and I don't know if it holds any keys to his descendants. There is no mention of Moses. (sorry guys) I apologize for not putting this letter up sooner. I have had relations here from Ireland for the past two weeks and some of us know there is a life beyond the net. I guess you guys were getting impatient (some of you, we won't point fingers). LOL At any rate, this is what I have to say. I have photocopied about 17 pages. All the genealogy pages. I have the introductory pages that led to Shepard's writing of the Memoirs (gotten from his grandmother's journal). He has a tree that begins with Jonathan Knapp (1752-1838), farmer of Cummington, Mass. (He was 4th generation from Aaron, who was in Taunton, Mass. in 1643) m. Persis Melvin (1759-1835), daughter of Jacob. (She was 3rd generation from John of Concord, Mass., who was born in 1656). He notes his Knapp beginnings and then seems to run through his direct line. Samuel (1) of Taunton m. May 26, 1687, Elizabeth Cobb b Feb 10, 1670 listing his 8 children and following the line of Samuel (2), Jonathan (1) of Raynham m. Abiah Thrasher. The last birth on this info is 1933. The author of this book was born 1873 in New York. He died Jan 11, 1946. It is a privately printed book and the whole book is typed on a typewriter. There is one page with info on Aron (his spelling) Knapp and other names connected are de Forest and Spring. They appear to have lived in New York. If anyone is interested in the info that I have photocopied, I will forward copies by snail mail, if they send me their addresses. If I was descended from this line, I can only say, I would be interested in the info. I did not photocopy the stories that he wrote about his family memories. I do not remember how long that was but if interested, I can go back and get some of that info. Like I said, it is appears to be one line but has info on siblings and other notes. I found it interesting, even though it is not my line. Also, whomever wanted the Chace/Chase family info. I photocopied the VR's of the births, marriages and deaths of Taunton, MA I suspect, it was Pat. I will forward by snail mail upon receipt of address. Sorry for not being able to get back to you all sooner. I am here, if there are questions or comments. Best, Karin
