Please, let's keep this to genealogy and not politics. Obviously, these are matters of personal choice and opinion and I ask no one to accept my view, but I am appalled that a group of people making active use of the internet would begrudge making it more widely accessible to others. I'm certainly not rich, but I think it is very reasonable for me to pay a small tax to support internet connectivity for schools and libraries -- which is the designed purpose of this tax. This "hidden" tax was widely and publicly discussed when it was passed by Congress. There were numerous news stories about it at the time.
