ALL: BE AWARE! The New World Book of Knapps, is being offered under the signature of Dorothy Knapp and at the price of $59.95. This book on the face seems like an answer to many of our research problems and allow us to gain essential information on our Knapp families. This applies also to those who descend from the William Knopp/Knapp families and other surnames. Over the years many such books have been published not only for the Knapp surname, but others as well. A family member [in-law] purchased the book for his surname recently as offered only to find out that it is nothing more than an extract from telephonedirectories, etc, the data being outdated in many cases and did not offer much more than what many of us already know about our surnames.. Unless you want an outdated address book of the surname my recommendation is "don't be duped into buying something that is virtually useless to your research needs". Over the years these books have been offered under different surnames under the signature of different persons, but all come from the same source and offer essentially the same information.
