My Grand Daughter saw this in the Sunday Reno Paper and thought someone might be interested in it. Robert G. Roberts Tonopah __ Robert G. Roberts, 58, died Dec.1,1999 at Nye Regional Medical Center. A native of Hollywood, Calif., he was born March 19,1941 to George and Martha (KNAPP) Roberts and had lived in Tonopah for the past 24 years coming from Las Vegas and California. Roberts was a fourth-grade teacher at Tonopah Elementary School. A graduate of Pasadena City Collage, Pasadena, Calif. and the University on California at Los Angeles, he attended the University on Nevada, Reno and formerly served as Nye County public administrator and on the Tonopah Town Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 28, Free and Accepted Masons and was a member and past exalted ruler of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 1062, Tonopah. His father died in 1981. Surviving are his wife, Rose M. Wood of Tonopah; mother: sister, Virginia Peterson, both of Williamsburg, Va. ; son Robbie; daughters, Ida, Marti and Rose Ellen Roberts, all of Tonopah; brother, John of Jordan, Utah; and sister, Georgia Gish of Boiling Springs, Pa. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral Monday at Tonopah Convention Center, 301 W. Brougher. Burial will be Wednesday at the Doyle Cemetery, Doyle, California, Arrangements are under the direction of Gunter's Funeral Home.
