Still seeking info on JOSEPH KNAPP born 5 nov 1852, Vanderburg Co,Ind. He died 11 jan 1929,Newark,South Dakota. Joseph moved with his family to LeSueur Co,Minn in 1865. He married Margaret Dewald on 17 Apr 1876. They had 12 childern. Joseph served 4 years a Sheriff of LeSuuer Co. He also worked 3 years with Jacklin Hardware Co. He moved his family to North Dakota in 1895,where they resided for 6 years before moving to Newark,where he lived until his death.Joseph acted as Deputy Sheriff of Marshall Co for 2 terms. His wife,Margaret,owned and operated a Hotel in Newark. I'm seeking info Joseph's parents and/or siblings. His poss father was John KNAPP born 1829 in Prussia and died in 1901 in Kilkenny,Minn.
