Duncan This was on the KNAPP GENFORUM My Gilbert had a brother Chauncey (b. Dec. 27, 1798, d. 1882, m. Mary A. Thorn). Their parents were Elijah Knapp and Rachel Weeks of Fishkill, NY. Chauncey is listed in the 1850 census in Fishkill, NY, living as a farmer. Fishkill is south of Albany just east of the Hudson River. Another brother, Samuel, moved to Walden, Orange Co., NY, just west of the Hudson River. Gilbert also had a son named Chauncey E., (b. 1828, d. 1901, m. Mary Schwaberow).
