Len, I don't have anything on your Knapps, but perhaps you could help me with a line I'm working on. I'm trying to trace my g-g-g-grandfather, Henry Baldwin. He was born about 1830, in New York perhaps. He married an Edith Cookison(?). They had a daughter named Louisa Elinor Baldwin who married Charles D. A. Merritt. Henry Baldwin was a farmer/cattle speculator in central Ohio, near Marion. My grandmother told me that Henry was killed and robbed while bringing cattle from New York to Ohio.
