Thanks again Pat as I was trying to find a connection between Samuel and John Knapp of 1784 as we have heard tell that he might have come up from the States. It is odd how they ended up in the same area.For my line I'm looking for Edward Knapp 1870 or Louisa Knapp 1869 which are Mathew James 1867 siblings.Aunt Gwen found Matthews bible and his father was Matthew Knapp born 1844 and his wife was Charlotte.All were born in England.Now my Aunt has told me that several years after Matthew James came to Canada his brother Edward came to the USA.She is in her late 80's so can not remember to where.Bob Smalley found the family in London England in the 1881 census. If these sound familiar or you have seen my Edward on your travels I would love to hear about it.
