Names: Knapp, Aldrich,Vaughn,Downer, Erwin. Family History Library film #1036364, Item 6 dated 1974 Hope this helps some MI folk. Priscilla gijoeww2@plateautel.net >> Hi Priscilla, That's exciting news! Thank you for sharing it. Have you looked at this microfilm? This is my line: Catherine Knapp, daughter of Jonathan and (possibly) Elizabeth (Field?) Knapp, was b. circa 1745, probably in Orange Co., NY and d. 30 Apr 1828 in Palmyra, NY. Catherine m. Joseph Todd, Sr., circa 1764, probably in Orange Co., NY. They were parents of ten children. Their oldest child was Joseph Todd, Jr., who along with his son-in-law, Orrison Allen, were the VERY FIRST settlers of Oakland Co., MI. I've been trying to determine if other Knapp relatives followed this Todd family into Oakland Co., MI. I've had some problems trying to figure out Catherine Knapp's parents' family. The published records have not been at all clear on Jonathan Knapp or his family and the original records for this time period seem to be very scarce. Finding a Bible with this Knapp family information in it would be WONDERFUL. Any suggestions? Sincerely, Terri Mulliken Allen
