    3. Emily Knapp 15 Jan 1913 - 5 Jul 1998 Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond's glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripening grain, I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. In loving memory of Emily Knapp, 1913-1998 Melody(Knapp) Campagna http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/a/m/Melody-A-Campagna/

    3. Melody According to info I have found Lyman Enos Knapp is a descendant of Aaron Knapp and Elizabeth from Taunton MA in 1638, and his son Samuel Knapp, through Seth and Cyrus. And info maybe under http:/www.genealogy.com or minus the www and under the Minnick history. 3. My guess would be that Joseph Hunt is Mary Ann's father, the childrens grandfather, who might have raised them when she died. So her maiden name would be Mary Ann Hunt. My Knapp's also went to the Dakota's, and I haven't seen anything on a Kincade, but will keep my eyes out! 3. Not one of mine but might be of interest to someone on the list. The url below has 101 documents where Knapp's can be found. Gideon Lee Knapp (d. 1875) married Augusta Murray Spring (1822-1885) in 1842 in New York City. In January 1849, Knapp sailed for California, while his wife remained behind with their children. Knapp returned east in October and made New York his home for the rest of his life. Gideon Lee Knapp and Augusta Murray Spring (1909) contains Gideon Knapp's shipboard letters from his voyage round the Horn to California, but most of the pages are filled with letters to and from his wife and children, and his wife's journal entries during his absence in 1849, and later by family letters and journal entries through 1874. 3. Hi, Len: I was going to tell you about the William Baldwin story in "Ashtabula Co. Then and Now," which says Caroline was the daughter of William and his first wife. Then I noticed that you were the submitter of the story! It may have been my database you saw at WorldConnect. I do show Polly Knapp as the daughter of Daniel. I got my info from Fritz (fritz@fidnet.com), whom you've surely heard of from the Knapp mailing list. His source was the Nicholas Knapp Genealogy, as you said. He's corrected many errors in that book, but perhaps this is one he doesn't know about. I have the Knapp marriage index pages for Ash. County, and the index shows Sally Knapp married to Daniel Palmer in 1821 (Film No. 01, Frame 63-64). In my database, I show Mr. Oliver as a previous husband -- but if that's the case, she shouldn't have been listed in the marriage index as Sally KNAPP. It seems I saw something printed that said she married Palmer after Oliver died, but I don't remember right now. I see in my personal notes on Daniel Knapp that Jean Martinez has Daniel's will, and it's inventoried on 4/22/1820 by John Dibell, Jr., John Dibell, and Phillip Goff. Administrator was his son Roswell Knapp. Parties owing the estate were son Elihu Knapp, son-in-law DANIEL PALMER, and David Sacket. Historical resources show Dibell spelled Dibble. Signatures all in same handwriting so Dibble is probably correct, says Jean. Her e-mail address is jebet@juno.com -- maybe she can shed some light on this whole family. I'll copy this to her in case she didn't see your post to the mailing list. Let me know if you find corrected information, will you, please? Thanks!
