Thanks for backing me up on this. On two other lists I'm on, I got reprimanded for posting this just because there are so many hoaxes! One guy said that it had to be a hoax because it got sent out on April 1. I saw the warning this morning on the news about this new virus. It isn't a hoax. From what I understand, it destroys the hard drive and if you have a modem attached to your computer, it dials 911. I didn't catch any more about it.

Hi Everyone, I got this today, and personally checked it out on the net. You may have already heard of it. I believe that it is not a hoax. If it is a hoax, it is quite an elaborate one. Towards the end of the message are instructions on checking to see if your computer is set up to share files/printer, and if it is, how to check for the worm and what to do if you find it. I have checked our computer and we were not set up to share files/printers, so from what I read here, our computer is safe. Also, whoever started up this worm chose crude names for the directory names, so be prepared. However, spread the word (not the worm ;->)! Duncan This was on the KNAPP GENFORUM My Gilbert had a brother Chauncey (b. Dec. 27, 1798, d. 1882, m. Mary A. Thorn). Their parents were Elijah Knapp and Rachel Weeks of Fishkill, NY. Chauncey is listed in the 1850 census in Fishkill, NY, living as a farmer. Fishkill is south of Albany just east of the Hudson River. Another brother, Samuel, moved to Walden, Orange Co., NY, just west of the Hudson River. Gilbert also had a son named Chauncey E., (b. 1828, d. 1901, m. Mary Schwaberow). I was at Walmart this past week getting the car's oil changed, and as I meandered around the store, I happened upon one of the Pharmacy calendars (which are handed out free). This year, it features Pharmacy customers from around the country who happed to be the vicinity of 100 years old or older. I opened it up to have a look, and the I first saw had a LEROY KNAPP, who is a customer of the Walmart Pharmacy in Ames, Iowa. The page has photos of him now, plus a photo of him in the Navy during WWI. I'll bet you could find a copy at your local Walmart Pharmacy.
