Hi i posted recently looking for my KNAPP's and someone emailed me promising a lookup in the Nicholas Knapp Geneology book once i received the death certificate for my GGgrandfather John KNAPP.....i received the death certificate today ..if that person or anyone else with access to this book and can do a quick lookup i now have additonal info....... John KNAPP b. 3-31-1856 in PA ( this is all i have) and died 4-30-1932 in Johnstown, Pa. He was the son of JOSEPH KNAPP and GERTRUDE ???, no birthplace given for his parents.......if someone can maybe find a Joseph and Gertrude KNAPP , most likely from Pennsylvania, in this book or knows of a Joseph and Gertrude, i would greatly appreciate any connection.....thanks in advance.....Joe

Does anyone know what happened to Mary? Margaret? (Taylor) Knapp, widow of John Knapp, b. 1700 & died 1758 on Lake Erie. Last known record of his widow was in 1758, Danbury, CT. John Knapp, was the son of Samuel and Hannah (Bushnell) Knapp. Danbury & Fairfield Probate Courts have no record of a Will, Probate, Administration Deed or Inventory extant. Did she remarry? If so to whom?

He married Margaret Dawald,17 Apr 1876,in Faribault,Minn..He served four years as Sheriff of LaSuer Co,Minn. Abraham b 1802 son of Caleb moved to Mason after 1850, he was in Wirt Co in 1850, he died in 1878. His brother Moses stayed in Greenbrier and died there abt 1834. All of the Knapps you see in Mason before 1850 are family of Moses, you should have children of Abraham in the file I sent, many of them came to Mason with their dad and spouses. Fellow Researchers Just wondering if anyone on the lists has heard of or read about William Barnard Associates. Or if any of your relatives Paid them to go to Quebec to obtain land for them. William Barnard Associates went to Quebec (Brompton Richmond County area) ca1797 to purchase land for Families in New York and agreement was signed between William Barnard and the Purchasers. Hi, My Great Grandfather George Washington Knapp, b. 1863, d. 17 Oct. 1890 in LaGrange, Lorain Co. Ohio. Had a sister Ida B. Knapp does anyone know what happened to her? Their father was Harlow Knapp b. 1835 in New York?, D. about 1865 in LaGrange, Lorain Co. Ohio. He served in the Civil War in the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Company K. and was Mustered out on a surgeons certificate of disability . His Wife was Henrietta Munger. Hi Tina: I wouldn't think of spoiling her , my brother in law usse to say" All babies smell'ed that way" . I don't really live that close to them to really see her except once a week if I go the 65 miles it takes for me to go to in to Reno. My daughter want's to find me aplace to live in Reno so I can be closer but then I couldn't do what I want and my house payment would cost a lot more then where I'm liveing now, out in the wide open space where I have a well and don't have as big of bill's as they do in Reno. The farthest back my information goes is to Amos Knapp born 16 June 1774 In Stephentown, New York. He moved to LaGrange Lorain Co.Ohio in the 1830s and died 26 Jan 1855 in LaGrange, Ohio.
