Hi His parents and names of his children or bro/sis might make it easier to find him. I am looking for any information on the folling people. I found their names, birth, death, and marriage dates in my grandmother Zelda Lampmans journals. She was a Busbey before marriage, but her mother married a Knapp second to her first husband, so their is a connection. I believe the Knapps may have come from Vermont or New York, but do not know any exact areas to start from. They lived in the Lewiston, MN area, LaCrosse, Wi and then Durand, WI area. At least the latter ones. Most are buriend in MN or WI as best I can tell from the roughly 60 pages of information from grandmas journal. IT is not in any particular order, which makes it hard to decipher who is whos children, parents, etc. Any help would be apprecaited much. In turn, as I get this worked out, I will post to you all of the info I have, and if pictures are needed, will burn them onto a cd romdisk John Knapp 1/25/1805-1/20/1884 m> Eunice Demarcy 8/17/1831 Jessie Knapp 11/6/1832-5/24/1921 m. Greg They do not sound familiar but that does not mean anything I have quite a few Knapp's from other family lines as well as mine that it may take me awhile to find. As I have several other's also, but will keep my eyes open if make a connection with any of the lines I have info on I will get back to you. As there where some of Aaron and Nicholas line Knapp's who moved to Vermont. Patricia GREG LAMPMAN wrote: > > I am looking for any information on the folling people. Hello- I have a Frank Knapp in my family tree but don't know if it is the same as yours. I have just found my Knapp family over this past year so I am still sorting them out. This is what I know, does it have any familarity about it? Frank James Knapp born abt. 1861 in Illinois or Iowa had 7 siblings, one being my great grandfather Rueben Knapp, but none of the girls were named Doris. Parents were: Newton Butler Knapp and Margaret Wright (Robinson) Knapp Let me know if this is right or wrong. Regards Shirley M. Ditto! After 23 years in the US Army nothing shocks me (almost nothing) but this forum is for KNAPP genealogy. Let's keep it that way. Vince Knapp
I agree with the rest of the Knapp researchers. This is a genealogy research list and not a joke list. I like jokes but not when I am doing research. I take my genealogy work very serious and do not like it when people put JUNK like that in a post. If nothing else the person that sent it should have asked the list members if they would like to read the joke and then e-mailed them at their personal addresses. That is just my thoughts and I do not mean to make anyone mad at me, but when I want to hear a joke I will ask. Tina Knapp
Yes, I say the same and I just deleted it when I saw the content.... Not for this Knapp family members for sure....... Lets stick to helpful information about our "Knapp" or related information, for all who are in search of their families. Have a peacful night all. We're sure that many people will disagree us, and we're not holier-than-thou. But, we find this joke to be offensive and not related to the mailing list topic. If this kind of material will continue to be acceptable on this list, we'll find our geneological information elsewhere. If we wanted to receive vulgar jokes by email, we would have subscribed to such a list.
