    1. [KNAPP-L] Silas Kanpp & Anna Hart Guion
    2. Anna Hart was daughter of Monmouth Hart & Sarah Ogden, she was b. 11 April 1728. Anna Hart m. John Guion 15 April 1747. They had 11 children on which was Anna b. 12 Jan 1760, m. Silas Knapp, ( 27 June 1782 per Wayne Howell). A sister of hers Dinah m. a Peter Knapp, all I know about these two. The reason I know this is that my wife comes down through Anna Hart's brother Monmouth Hart who m. Rachel Bloomer. Does this agree with what you have Stephen? Dick Wilson

    3. Hi all, I have recently updated some information on my Knapp website. Specifically, some limited information on children of Sadie Knapp of Fishkill, NY and some descendants of William G. Hill and Abigail Jane Knapp (see specifically, Michael Hill and Susan Martin's children). There have been a few other minor updates and corrections for a few others. (See specifically, Nettie Mosher.) The address is: http://www.uftree.com/UFT/WebPages/scemer01/NICHOLAS/index.htm Also, if anyone in the group is a member of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, please contact me privately (not necessary to post to the group, unless someone believes this is important to the group). Sincerely yours, Stephen Emery Louisville, KY

    1. [KNAPP-L] Knapps Information and One Request
    2. GREG LAMPMAN
    3. I was at the Pepin Co., Court House, Durand, Wisconsin last week, doing some research. I found the following which may be of some interest to someone: Marriage record Vol. 1/ Page 40-C 1. Hezekiah Knapp, parents were George & Clerisa Knapp born PA m. Marriet Bennett, parents were Oliver & Abigail Bennett born WI on 11/20/1867 at the home of Charles Meyers, Town of Frankfurt, Pepin Co. Civil ceremony I think. Volume 2 page 68: 2. Phillip Knapp, parents Leopold & Maria Knapp of Austria all 3 of them. m. Agnes Baumersil, parents Agnatius & Magdalia Baumersil. on 2/6/1882. A roman Catholic Wedding, he is listed as a laborer living in Durand the City. I would venture they came from the Gemund, Schrems area, where most of the other Austiran families came from in this area. #3 My personal request: I was looking for a John Knapp from Canada earlier, and have all of his chldren info. I found in an obit from one his sons a middle initial. so here goes. (The middle initial was hard to read) John I. or J. Knapp b. 1/25/1805 in Canada somewhere. d. 1/20/1885 in Lewiston, MN. m. Eunice Demarey b. 11/25/1810 d. 4/26/1871. Children were: Jessie b. 11/6/1832 Canada d. 5/24/1921 m. Marietta Pennock who died 4/12/1904 David Knapp Byron C. Knapp William B. Knapp Ben S. Knapp John B. Knapp Silvanus F. Knapp Never married Hiram Jasper Knapp born in Minnesota and married a Van der Zee or Vandersee. I have much information on this family, along with decendants, pictures, etc. It was all in the Livingston/Knapp bible, and my grandmother copied it all down years ago. I am trying to make the connection from John I. or J. Knapp back farther to his parents, etc., etc. and eventually to England I think. Supposedly these Knapps were of English extraction. Any help would be appreciated. Greg Lampman

    1. [KNAPP-L] Brundage Knapp 1773-1866 obit
    2. Subj: Brundage Knapp b.1773-obit Date: 09/21/98 To: [email protected] The Norwalk Reflector, Tuesday morning, April 17, 1866 Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio Vol 37, No 17, Page 3, Col 2 (center of page) DIED In Fairfied, on the 27th ult, Brundage Knapp, aged 93 years. He was born in Putnam County, N.Y., from whence he removed to this county in 1828. Therefore his death date is 27 March 1866-----NOT 6 March 1866----- (According to Sexton's records Brundage is buried in Fitchville Cemetery in North Fitchville twp., Huron Co., OH in an unmarked grave next to his son Edward G. Knapp with whom he lived during the last years of his life. I have been to the cemetery and there is an unmarked grave site next Edward. Brundage did indeed marry Esther MEAD before 1820 as they had a son Adolphus Govenor Knapp born 19 Feb 1820 in Westchester Co., NY, died 30 Nov 1905 in Big Rapids, Mecosta, MI, married 12 Nov 1842 in Huron Co., OH to Hannah RICHARDSON, daughter of Abel Richardson and Phebe. As to another said wife of Brundage Knapp, Sally Tyler---- Brundage and Sally are supposed parents of Sally T. Knapp who married Simeon Munson my notes show that Adolphus Knapp sold land to Austin Munson in Ingham Co., MI on 5 June 1846 (White Oak twp, Sec 32. (Could Austin Munson be Adolphus Knapp's nephew, son of Sally T. Knapp and Simeon Munson?) If you are des from Brundage Knapp you are welcome to contact me, I would be happy to exchange info. 3. Greetings Here is information for all of you that are working on the Amos Knapp line. I just received the pension file for Harlow Knapp from The National Archives. It contained some dates that were not known to me before. A copy of The Marriage Certificate for Harlow Knapp and Henrietta Munger revealed that they were married 25 December,1856, in Medina, Medina Co., Ohio. They had two Children Ida Knapp b. 15 Dec. 1857 and George Washington Knapp b. Feb 22, 1863. Harlow joined the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry on 14 August, 1862. He was released on 25 Dec. 1863 On a Surgeons Certificate of Disability. Chronic diarrhea and curvature of the spine are listed as the reason of disability. Chronic diarrhea is also listed as his cause of death on 19 March, 1864. I that you find this information useful. Tom Knapp TEK
