My father William Jackson KNIGHT [b. 1895 Freestone County Texas] was a son of Nancy Jane EZELL [b. 1857 Freestone County Texas] daughter of Edward EZELL [b. 1830 Lauderdale County Alabama] son of David EZELL [B.1805 NC] son of Lewis EZELL, [1780 prob. NC] and Nancy ROGERS [b. 1783 prob. NC]. My mother, Ella BEASLEY[b. 1897 IT Oklahoma], daughter of John Richard BEASLEY [b. 1873 Lauderdale County Alabama], son of Susannah COTHRAN [b. 1832 Hardin County Tennessee], daughter of Martha EZELL [b.1812 NC], daughter of Lewis EZELL and Nancy ROGERS. Am looking for other descendants of Lewis EZELL and Nancy ROGERS. My deceased husband's THORNTON line is extremely intertwined. They were descended from European royalty and for many years were required to marry cousins. His grandfather was the first of his THORNTON line to marry outside the family.
