Well I don't know about social conditions but when my ggrandparents were married ....they were cousins....... their mothers were sisters..........they just made it......got the MC on the 25th married on the 26th and the baby came 12 days later...so it aint all geography and lack of trasportation that causes family to intermarry.....sometimes they just have to....
