    3. Hi fellow listers, I joined the list on the first day but I have yet had the oppurtunity to put my cousins out there so I thought I better do it tonight while I had a few minutes. I work two jobs so I don't get to check my email more than once a day. Tonight I had 149 new messages and a great deal of them were from this list. It is great to see so many people using this new list. Here are my Kissing cousins. Samuel Tucker (my 4 &5 ggrand father depending on which line you follow) Married Esther Leighton, 1. Their son Asa Tucker (My 3rd great grand uncle and 4th great grand Father and 1st cousin 4 times removed) married his cousin Mariam Worcester(my 4th great grandmother). Miriam's parents are both my 5th great grandparents and my 4th great aunt and uncle depending on which line you follow. 2. Their son Justus Smith Tucker( my 3rd great grand Uncle & 1st cousin 4 times removed) married his cousin Sarah "Sally" Leighton(my 1st cousin 5 times removed) 3. Their Son Samuel Tucker Jr.(my 3rd great grand Uncle & 1st cousin 4 times removed) married Annice Smith ( my 4th great grand aunt) One of Asa's sons Benjamin Tucker(who is also my 3rd great grand Uncle like his father is) married his cousin Amy "Emma" Worcester. There were many marriages between the Tucker and worcester families and the Tucker and Leighton families. My grandmother was a Tucker and my grandfather a Leighton. (they were 5th cousins) My grandfathers mother-in -law was also his 5th cousin but his father-in-law was his 4th cousin once removed. My grand mother's parents were 2nd cousins once removed. There is more but I am sure that is confusing enough for tonight. So what does this mean for me?? Three things. 1. It is a good thing I like puzzles. 2. My software gets really confused when I try to do pedigree charts and such. 3. There are places on my family tree that don't fork. -Michelle

    3. I listed my names yesterday, so today I will share my stories. Yes, stories. My great grandmother Mary Ann HIGGINS, married Robert CAMERON in Jul 1880 in Scotland. They had eight children including my grandfather William Higgins CAMERON. Mary Ann's sister Margaret HIGGINS, married William GOURLAY in Oct 1895. They had five children. William Higgins CAMERON (my grandfather) married Agnes Grieve GOURLAY (my grandmother and niece of William GOURLAY). Margaret HIGGINS and William GOURLAY had five children. They moved to the US. Their daughter Catherine Brember GOURLAY married John Christian KAUFMANN. Their son Alexander GOURLAY married Margaret KAUFMANN (sister of John Christian KAUFMANN). Are you with me so far? Well I just found out today of more kissing cousins. William GOURLAY (my ggggrandfather) married Margaret STEWART in Scotland in 1819. They had at least four children. Their son Robert Stewart GOURLAY married Catherine BREMBER. I think I found another brother of Robert Stewart GOURLAY, James GOURLAY born 13 years after Robert. Robert Stewart GOURLAY and Catherine BREMBER had eight children, on of which was the William GOURLAY mentioned above married to Margaret HIGGINS. Catherine BREMBER married to Robert Stewart GOURLAY had a sister Mary BREMBER married to Robert JACK. They had four children. Their daughter Catherine Ford JACK married James GOURLAY, the same one born 13 years after Robert Stewart GOURLAY and most likely a missing sibling. Hmm, now I ask you could I have any more kissing cousins out there? Just a side note my sister found out recently that her best friend from childhood is a cousin to her husband. She asked that I stop researching our family tree as she is afraid she may find out we are cousins to her husband. What do you think her reactions would be to the above? Janet Tennent researching any and all the above names Kensington, Maryland
