Hello fellow Kiser's, I have submitted dna to Family DNA.com to participate it the Kaiser/keyser/kiser surname project. The DNA used is junk dna and is basicly Y chromosomal dna markers that can show the closeness of the nearest close relative in time. The test is done with a cheek swab scraping and provides us with the ability to see if we have a near common ancestor. Currently 3 Kisers have submitted dna. The project needs more males with the Kiser/Keyser/Kaiser surname to participate. I suggest that you start with a 25 marker test. I'm anxious to have someone submit who know they are in the Michael Kiser/Eppert line and the Karl/Charles line. These lines have many family members in Page and Rockingham and Russell Counties in VA and some in Ohio. The more tests that are submitted the better results that will be obtained. Good hunting to all. Dr. Jim Kiser in So Louisiana but born in the "Burgh" PA.
