Do you have information on the Kisers of southwest Virginia? I believe my grandfather was a John E. Kiser who lived in Russell County, Virginia. He was married to an Alice Hensly (a widow) and had several legitimate children with her. His father was James "Black Jim" Kiser. My grandmother Winnie Edith LaForce had 8 children out-of-wedlock with a John E. Kiser beginning in 1911. She never married, but was a highly respected Baptist women in Russell County. I've always wanted to understand this situation. My kin isn't talking and I've had a heck of a time doing research on this. Thanks for anything you may be able to contribute..............
