Sandy, When I finally found them in the 1850 census for Westmoreland County, PA they were listed as KEISER. (below) I never knew the family to use that spelling so I don't know if they used it in 1850 or if that is just the census taker chose to spell it. 1850 Census - Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania 1393-1418 KEISER, John, 57, farmer, PA Sophia, 51 Joseph, 28 Adam, 27 Elizabeth, 25 John, 23 William, 20 Catherine, 17 Sophia C., 15 Henry S., 12 Susan, 8
I'm Very interested in this Henry S.; have you followed his line? My Kiser (also spelled KEISER in one of the censuses) wound up in TN, and we Think my great-grandfathers' name was Henry; he died in the 1880's sometime....please advise; thanks!
