Occupation Tischler- Meister 3. Research, 1838-1861 (Research):We found all the children of Wilhelm Keyser and Carolina Giebler born between 1838 and 1861. Aguste Wilhelmine Marie - she married Johann Wehling Johanne Aguste Friederike - Married ??? Johanne Auguste Christiane - she married Fritz Becker these three above emigrated as the parents did. Johann Gottlob Johann Christoph Friedrich Johann Friedrich Christian These brothers died young or before they were married We know nothing about Johann Heinrich Carl Keyser born in 1839 and his sister Johanne Caroline Friederike Keyser born in 1848. They may have stayed and married in Germany or they may have came to America and settled in Iowa, Nebraska or South Dakota. Caroline Friederike Elisabeth married Johann Christian August Böttner in Hohenebra and she had a baby in Nordhausen, his parents were from Kirchengel so they may have raised a family in one of those areas of Germany. I did find a Selma Böttner 3 years old traveling with cousin Robert Wehling and his and her Grandparents on the ship Main in 1881 when they immigrated to America and one can speculate that her parents had died and she immigrated with her Grandparents although I have not found any evidence here in the United States or in Germany to support either theory. 4. Immigration, 9 Jun 1882 - Ship, Main To New York City 5. Family Note, 14 Mar 1885 The Keyser's moved to Crow Lake, Jerauld County, SD arriving on March 14, 1885. They broke some ground and built a 10' X 12' house for $30 and moved in on April 11, 1885. They came here from Denison, Crawford County, Iowa. Wilhelm Keyser died there on October 16, 1886. In an affidavit given in 1888, Karoline says she is still living on the land with her 10 year old grandson!!! Karoline has signed these documents as Karoliene Keyser, with an umlaut over the y in Keyser . Her handwriting is very plain......no mistaking what she has written. Wilhelm filed his first papers for naturalization in Jerauld County. In the document he says he emigrated to the U.S. and landed at the port of New York on or about the month of June 1881.
