My grandfather was James (O')Kirwan. Still don't know where he lived in Ireland or when he arrived in Philadelphia; we think it was circa 1920. Only relative was a brother who came to the States with him but we know nothing about him, not even his name. He seems to have disappeared into thin air. If we learn anything more, I'll be in touch. >From: Jenks1922@aol.com >To: KIRWIN-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [KIRWIN] Re: KIRWIN-D Digest V00 #30 >Date: Sat, 11 Nov 2000 15:38:08 EST > >In a message dated 11/11/00 1:00:43 PM Eastern Standard Time, >KIRWIN-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: > > > > There is some confusion with Michael's last name--thought to have > > been O'Kirwan when he first came over. > > > > > >Hi, Maureen, >The only thing that rings a bell with me is that it is thought that my >ggrandfather, Patrick Kirwin might have been O'Kirwin.
