Hello Kirwan Cousins! Happy New Year, but first my success story!! I have been "found" by a cousin through my web page at Familytreemaker.com!! (After only one year!!). We are related through our DARLINGTON great-great grandfather, and it sure was neat the way we "filled in the blanks" for each other. She was actually a generation ahead of me, and had been to the churchyard in Casteldown, Co Wexford, to visit the graves. The Darlington farm is still in existance, although is now owned by a distant cousin named Byrne. My great grandfather, Francis Darlington, married Elizabeth KIRWAN, so that's what this story has to do with Kirwan's -a stretch, I know, but I had to share! She contacted me the day after Christmas - my best gift!! Now my names: Looking for - KIRWANs from Wicklow. Elizabeth, noted above was the daughter of John KIRWAN and Unknown O'TOOLE. DARLINGTON - KAVANAGH from Wexford. James Darlington, son of Nathaniel and Roseanna Darlington, married Ellen KAVANAGH. >From the North: ROBINSON/HARPER from Belfast. Given name for males was Johnston ROBINSON. One married Mary Jane HARPER (daughter of Simon HARPER), his son married Elizabeth WATT (from Scotland). Elizabeth was the daughter of John WATT and Elizabeth ORNEIL (and variant spellings) Any bites - I feel lucky!!! Mary K
