re CIGO petition I have signed this petition as I have had experience at the Dublin General Register Office. I would strongly recommend those who have experience of researching there or experience of writing to them to add their voices to the petition. Despite the increasing importance of genealogy in Irish tourism and in the international image of the country, the Department of Health who run the GRO see any improvement as a low priority.
