Hi Paul, Interesting that you should mention Corwins today! Yesterday, I was given a genealogy of the Gulick family, which appears to be connected to my Mills line. In it is one "little pocket" of Corwins... These people were either in New York or New Jersey... hope it helps someone! The data is entitled Descendents of Cant. Henry Gulick, born 1734, son of Samuel Gulick: [1]Henry [2].....Samuel [3]..........Nathan Henry Williamson (this is how it is typed...can't explain name) [2].....Nicholas 1758-1846, m. Elizabeth ?ano (first letter missing) [3]..........Henry b. 1784 [3]..........William Gano [3]..........John [3]..........Charles m. Sarah Halsey [3]..........Mary m. ? Corwin [4]...............Darwin [4]...............Franklin [4]...............Eliza [4]...............Homer [4]...............Gerome [3]..........Elizabeth m. ? Halsey [3]..........Matilda m. ? Durland [3]..........Samuel 1790-1878 So, at least you know there were Corwins in the USA pretty early on... Jana "Paul W. Wright" wrote: > Matthias Corwin when did he come to america > Paul W.
