My descent from James Franklin Kirpatrick (b. 1743, d. 1 Jan 1871, at the hands of Loyalist neighbors) is pretty well established by the Mel Kirkpatrick/David Hudson books. The only problematic generation is that of Great-Great-Grandma Mary (Kirkpatrick) Williams, because there isn’t much info about her in either book, and there are no records of her death (except for a minor mention in a local newspaper) or burial. She is listed in the will of her father, James Harrison Kirkpatrick, though.
