Joshua Kirkpatrick who married the Hildebrand was in Gwinnett Co, Ga. on the 1820 census. There were Hildebrands living nearby. He was born in Ga. but no parentage is given. He is later found up in East Tn. on the roll there. He was a quarter blood and I think his wife was too. On the census in Ga., he is listed as a Kilpatrick I believe and his first name I believe was written Jos. which would seem to be an abbreviation for Joseph, but in Tn. his name is spelled out as Joshua.
