KIRKPATRICK m. Rachel PORTER 8 Feb 1842 ----------------------------------------^^^^^^^^^^^ in Jefferson Co., OH. Found their marriage record but now I am stuck! Found them on the 1850 W. VA, Jackson CO. census with their five children, Sarah b.1842 in OH, Matthew b. 1844 in OH, Margaret b. 1845 in OH, James b. 1847 in W VA, Elizabeth b. 1849 W VA. I lost them as a family in 1860 census, find James (my ggrandfather) in Johnson Co., KS alone and unmarried and then I find Thomas A. and Rachel in the 1880 Johnson Co., Ks census. The men were brickburners/brickmakers, James and his father Thomas had a birick farm just out side of Olathe, Johnson Co., KS for many years. I know -->there are allot of Kirkpatricks in and around Jefferson Co., OH in the ----------------------^^^^^^^^^^^ early 1800's but not sure which family Thomas came from. Does anyone know anything about the early brickburners/brickmakers????? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
