    1. WILLIAM KIRKPATRICK's daughters
    2. Descendents of Robert Kirkpatrick's(TN) son William, and other interested parties: help me with this conundrum-- I descend from gggrandfather Cyrus Kirkpatrick(2)(VA/KY), son of George Kirkpatrick(1)(VA/KY). I found a note in my grandmother's scrapbook talking about her father's (John Kirkpatrick KY) second cousins Nancy and Mandy Kirkpatrick. The note said, "Nancy Kirkpatrick married Perry Dills with children Robbins, Sue Mary, and Henry and they live in Falmouth, KY. Mandy Kirkpatrick married Pugh Miller and live on the Licking River, KY." I looked up all the Williams and found one whose father was Robert b. 1754, m. Mary Campbell, TN. They had children Nancy and Amanda and the FTM notes say the family lost track of them, along with another daughter Minerva, after they married Willis boys and went to KY. Well, here they are remarried, living outside of Cynthiana, Harrison County, KY! My dilemna is: To be ggrandfather John's second cousins they would have to be the children of a sibling of George. The only mention of a sibling in any of grandma's notes is a brother named William. I know nothing of where George came from other than I was told it was VA. He shows up in the Bourbon Co. KY 1790 Census and tax rolls and as a witness to a will of John Maize benefitting "Anny" Kirkpatrick. I also have a Wm Kirkpatrick married to Annie Maise in 1800 KY. I had assumed that this Wm. was George's brother. But now, I have to ask whose who, when and where? Help! It doesn't help that every line named their children the same. Arrrgh. I also found the receipts dated 1885-7 to a Bailey, Banks, and Biddle Jewelers and Stationary of Philadelphia for a pedigree chart w/ documentation which no longer exists, and a few sheets of stationary with the dagger and I Mak Sakur on it. It is not the exact design of the other but could represent another line. Who knows? I've pieced the family tree together sans original pedigree and will post it as soon as I can figure out how to do that. This large, mostly southern family line has been a missing link in our collective Kirkpatrick chain. Stay tuned. Judith B. Alef
