I had one great response from someone who gave me some information (Harry), however I am trying to find anyone who is a descendant of this family. Their names are: Leander Nimrod Kirkpatrick b.1830, NC d.1862. Married Rachael Martha Smart, March 29th 1853. Gilbert Lawson Kirkpatrick b. 1832, NC d. 1862. Married Miranda C. Teague, January 6, 1852. Milas Alexander Kirkpatrick b. 1841, NC d. 1920. Married Laura Ann Byers, March 21, 1869. If there is anyone out there who has any information on any of these families who are descendants of theirs, please contact me. I am in the process of writing a genealogy book about this family and the members of their father's family. His name was Silas Fain Kirkpatrick b. July 25, 1803.
