Hello, I am doing research on the Kirkpatricks. Before she died, my grandmother gave me a letter from an E. Spears McCullough who had done extensive research on the Kirkpatricks. In the letter, dated 1936, he says he is the son of Julia Casandra Kirkpatrick, great grandson of Jacob Kirkpatrick, great great grandson of David Kirkpatrick. The letter was addressed to Miss Frances Prather, my great-great Aunt, whose grandmother was Elizabeth Kirkpatrick b. abt 1820. E. Spears was looking for info on the Kirkpatricks. (Geez, is that confusing?) In the letter he stated that he had quite a large volume of information and hoped to publish it. He said he had research clear back to Egbert, King of Saxons born 770, who was the grandfather of Alfred the Great, King of England!!! So you can appreciate how badly I want to find who that research was handed down to if E. Spears has passed away. He was also looking for the Dinwiddie line who married a Kirkpatrick. If anyone can give me any leads, I would be eternally grateful! Smiles, Jillanne Prather-Kimble
