I'm searching for information on the following family members: Kirkpatrick, George D. b. 1834 TN m. Nancy Webb in Arkansas abt. 1864 had the following children: George E. Kirkpatrick b. abt 1865 Arkansas (probably Pope Co.) Martha E. Kirkpatrick b. abt 1867 Arkansas Mary L. Kirkpatrick b. abt. 1869 Arkansas (may have gone by the name Lily) Rhoda Kirkpatrick b. abt. 1871 Arkansas Jesse Kirkpatrick b. 1880 Texas (probably Grayson Co) Desse Kirkpatrick b. abt 1882 Texas Lou Kirkpatrick b. abt 1883 Texas Some of the family was in Indian Territory by 1892. Possibly for a land rush. Also, has anyone gathered the Kirkpatrick's off of any surviving 1890 Texas census'? I know that there were a few counties in Texas that survived the fire that wiped out the 1890 census. I haven't been able to view any of them though. Thank you, Cheryl Kirkpatrick [email protected]
Debra, I have copies of pictures of Kirkpatricks. My ggrandmother was Harriett Kirkpatrick b. dau of Daniel Kirkpatrick and Mary Prescott (Maine>Ohio> Iowa). married William Marshall. A cousin (real) sent me the copies. We do not know if they are our Kirkpatrick/Marshall line or another. This is what he wrote in a letter about them. {{{{"Recently I sorted thrugh a box of old photos that we hacd brought from Fort Worth several years ago when we closed my folks house. I've made laser copies of a few that I thought might be of interest to you and/or that you might be able to identify. }}}} The Kirkpatrick/Marshall line was his Maternal side. His father was George William Tinslar. He was raised by the Tinslars after his parents were killed in an accident. His birth surname was Lanktree. {{{{The four Kirkpatrick photos are in a very old and dilapidated album from my father's family in Hennepin, Peoria and Princeton, Illinois. Many of the photos in the album are unlabelled but these four and a few others had handwritten names on the album page. I have no idea who they are or how, if at all, they are related to any of us, but because of the name I thought that you might find them interesting}}}} The Photos are of. 1. Theopolis Kirkpatrick -Photographer W. H. Masters, Princeton, Illinois. 2. Mrs. Theopolis Kirkpatrick -Photographer W. H. Masters, Princeton, Illinois 3. Douglas Kirkpatrick -Photophrapher W. H. Masters, Princeton, Illinois. 4. Kit Kirkpatrick-Kracaws Fine Art Gallery, Washington, Iowa. Kit and Douglas are adults but much younger( maybe a generation) than Theopolis and his wife. Do you have any information on these Kirkpatricks? I sent the information about the photos to the group on- line some time ago but had no response.

ARTY, about a week ago you sent information on your family "looking for William Kirkpatrick. While reading it, I remember some material my cousin had sent. Our grandmother was the daughter of Harriet Kirkpatrick and William Marshall. the ggrandfather was Daniel Kirkpatrick. He had found photos of 4 Kirkpatricks in a very old and dilapidated album from his father's family in Hennepin, a Peoria and Princeton Illinois. We have no idea who thay are. He sent photo copies of the four pictures. Our Kirkpatricks were on the maternal side. \ Photographer W. H. Masters of Princeton, Illinois took three of the pictures. They are of Douglas Kirkpatrick , Theopolis Kirkpatrick and of Mrs. Theopolis Kirkpatrick, The one of KIT Kirkpatrick is by Kracaws Fine Art Gallery in Washington, Ia.. The clothing and poses appear to be before 1900. Do you see a connection ? Let me know. Barbara Crowder Black ggranddaughter of Harriett Kirkpatrick and William Marshall nad gggranddauthter of Daniel Kirkpatrick and Mary Prescott. Thanks,

Hello, I am doing research on the Kirkpatricks. Before she died, my grandmother gave me a letter from an E. Spears McCullough who had done extensive research on the Kirkpatricks. In the letter, dated 1936, he says he is the son of Julia Casandra Kirkpatrick, great grandson of Jacob Kirkpatrick, great great grandson of David Kirkpatrick. The letter was addressed to Miss Frances Prather, my great-great Aunt, whose grandmother was Elizabeth Kirkpatrick b. abt 1820. E. Spears was looking for info on the Kirkpatricks. (Geez, is that confusing?) In the letter he stated that he had quite a large volume of information and hoped to publish it. He said he had research clear back to Egbert, King of Saxons born 770, who was the grandfather of Alfred the Great, King of England!!! So you can appreciate how badly I want to find who that research was handed down to if E. Spears has passed away. He was also looking for the Dinwiddie line who married a Kirkpatrick. If anyone can give me any leads, I would be eternally grateful! Smiles, Jillanne Prather-Kimble
