Arthur King was born 1779 in NC. He was in Giles County, TN by 1827 with a William King who lived next door to him in 1836. Since Arthur was a surveryor. County as early as 1820.. The mother of his children was Margaret (maiden name King) but 1850 Giles Census shows Arthurs living with a Nancy King.Arthur died before 1860 leaving the following children: George F.born Aug 12, 1818 in NC. Robert David born July 27, 1823 in NC.. Elizabert born 1827. and Lewis A. born June 2, 1828 in Tennessee. It is believed that William King was a brother of Arthur's and that they came from the Orange-Wake area of NC.
