I have been researching the King Family for a couple of months and asked several times of those of you on the King-list about information regarding Jemima King of Wilbraham, MA daughter of William King, Jr. and Thankful Warner. I came upon the following information and hope that someone on the list will have additional information to add to what I have. I am interested in ancestors of William King, Jr. and Sr. as well as descendants of this family. Also any corrections or additions to what I have are very welcome. William King, Jr. b. 20 May (or January) 1743 in Springfield (or Long Meadow), Hampden Co., MA (formerly Hampshire Co.), died at West Winfield, Herkimer, NY on 5 February 1817. Married on 1 January 1767 in Wilbraham, Hampden Co., MA to Thankful Warner b. 30 June 1747 at Wilbraham, Hampden Co., MA d. 4 May 1824 at Wilbraham, Hampden Co., MA. Their children numbered 13 all born at Wilbraham, Hampden Co., MA: Elam King, b. 3 May 1759, d. 23 January 1823 at Pawlet, Rutland, VT, m. Ca. 1794 Sally Easton in 1790 Lovice King, b. 22 December 1767, m. Marker Warner on 3 March 17 Chauncy King, b. 16 August 1770, m. Sarah "Sally" Maxwell, b. 28 November 1772, d. 22 March 1818 at at Pawlet, Rutland, VT Zerah or Zera (Serah or Sera?), b. 14 February 1772 Jemima King, b. 9 November 1773, m. Preserved Wright b. 1775 m. 25 July 1793 Ben King Lucy King, b. 18 March 1775, m. ? Warner Molly "Polly" King, b. 23 November 1776, m. William Andrews (or Anders) William King III, b. 26 September 1778, m. Rachael Appleby on 9 March 1804? Walter King, b. 7 June 1780, m. Elizabeth Clark Thankful King, b. 26 September 1781, m. Stephen Fitch Hepsibah King, b. 13 December 1782/85 or 31 December 1783/84 m. ? Hannon Jerusha Warner King, b. 10 January 1787, m. abt June 1818 Peter Helmer or Welmer Eunice King, b. 30 May 1789 m. ? Bailey (1st name Smith m. 1805 at Rupert, Bennington,VT d. Kent Co., MI I have the parents of William King being Lieutenant William King, Sr. b. 1717, d. 21 September 1797 m. 11 June 1742 to Jemima Bliss b. 15 May 1720, d. 27 February 1785. From this union there were 10 or 11 children. I have Lt. William King Sr.'s parents as: John King and Sarah Allan I would appreciate any additional information anybody has on this particular family.
